Prerogative Court of Canterbury Administrations Vol. V 1609-1619 British Record Society volume 83 Published 1968 Introduction to Original Volume
With the publication of this volume the first gap in the indexes to Administrations in the Prerogative Court is filled. J. H. Morrison's volume, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Letters of Administration 1620-1630, London 1935, covers the next 12 years. Work is now in progress by the Society on the ensuing gap 1631-1648.
The slips for the present volume have again been written by Mrs. G. L. March and Major F. J. Jebens, M.C. Mr. L. R. Muirhead, M A., F.SA, has once more put the Society in his debt by compiling the Supplementary Index of Places and the Hon. G. R. Strutt, MA., has indexed all surnames other than those of intestates as well as Trades and Occupations To all the above and to Mr. F. G. Emmison, M.B.E, F.SA, F.R.Hist.S., for his ever ready help and advice I am most grateful. February 1968. MP. |
